The conference will be hosted by Universidad Carlos III the Madrid, at the Leganés Campus, room 72J02, building Joan Benet (7).  The Campus is easily accesible by public transport, using train or metro. This allows quick access to all parts of the city; it is thus easy to reach from the airport and very well connected to the city centre. More precisely:

How to get to Leganés Campus from the Airport:

The Barajas Airport is about 15 km from Downtown Madrid. In addition to the taxi service, there are bus and metro lines which go to the Plaza de Colon (city centre), and a metro line to Nuevos Ministerios, which has a connection to the Cercanías/RENFE train line to Leganés.

By Taxi: The total fare from the airport to the Leganés Campus will cost approximately 45.00€. Indicate the driver to go to "Leganés" "Campus Carlos III junto a Leganés Central".

By Metro and Train:  The Madrid Metro system has a stop at the Barajas Airport called 'Aeropuerto', and it is on line number 8. The price of a metro ticket is 1€ (inside Madrid), 1,75€ for a Combinado (all the way to Leganés). To reach the city centre, take line 8 to its final stop at 'Nuevos Ministerios'. Continue by train from Nuevos Ministerios, taking any line to Atocha (C7, C2, C1) and changing at Atocha Estación to Line C5 till Leganés Central.

If you want to go by metro all the way to Leganés, you can also do it by take  metro Line 10 at "Nuevos Ministerios" all the way down and change at the last station "Puerta del Sur" to Line 12 (circular) till Leganés Central (this might be more convinient if you carry a lot of luggage, but also more time consuming).

How to get to Leganés Campus  from Madrid Downtown:

The best option is to go to Atocha Estación (by metro or walking, depending on where you´re staying!) and then taking the train. Indeed, if you are staying in Madrid we recommend to book at one of the hotels in the Atocha area (NH Sur or Mediodía, follow the accomodation link).

By train: Take Line C5  from Atocha Estación,  direction "Fuenlabrada". Get down at Leganés Central (the trip is roughly 25 mins, and there are trains every 5-10 mins.)
