Iordanis Kerenidis received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2004. His thesis was titled Quantum Encodings and Applications to Locally Decodable Codes and Communication Complexity. After his graduation, he spent two years as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Applied Mathematics Department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2006, he became a permanent member of the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS-France), based at the University of Paris. His research interests include quantum computing and complexity theory.
