In addition to lectures (theory and problems), students will also be expected to attend computing practicals, where they will be introduced to the symbolic manipulation programme MAPLE. Students will be given exercises to do in their own time, which will then be handed in for marking. There will also be two short tests, set during two of the lectures. The final mark for the course will consist of: Marked exercises and MAPLE practicals: 10% Two tests: 20% (10% each) Final exam: 70%
