Evolution of Breeding Systems in Asteraceae
SEXAS
Asteraceae is the biggest family of angiosperms, with more than 1500 genera and over 23000 species (Bremer, 1994). This circumstance makes it impossible for us to collect by ourselves all the data we would like.
Thus, we would greatly appreciate your help in harvesting 30 infructescences and 30 inflorescences of any species of Asteraceae.
To standardize the collection, we have writen a protocol that you can donwload below. It is pretty simple.
All good people helping us will be expresely mentioned as a collaborator in the "Collaborators" section of this homepage, and will be acknowledged in any scientific paper resulting from our project.
Here are some of the genera with high priority:
Bidens
Cirsium
Serratula
Myripnois
Achillea
Anacyclus
Chamaemelum
Cladanthus
Santolina
Otanthus
Mecomischus
Rhetinolepis
Leucocyclus
Ptilostemon
Petasites
Baccharis
All Gnaphalieae

We have already got some species. Check the list in order to not duplicate efforts.
